Description
James L. Hunt wrote in mid November 1845 to his parents, Joseph O. and Roxana B. Hunt of Bath, about leaving his job at Russell & Walker in Newburyport and taking a job in Portsmouth -- where he would either work by the job or do something he had no skill at. Hunt had left Bath in the summer of 1845 looking for a position. He started working at the foundry in Newburyport in July. Hunt also wrote in a sentimental fashion about missing his family, imaging his father on his way to Sunday meeting and imagining smelling his mother's baked beans -- and his mouth watering.
