Description

The First Parish Church is located on 425 Congress St. In 1824, the Parish Church meeting house was deemed unfit by a building commitee. The following year a contract was signed to furnish the meeting house for a sum of $15,000. The most recent addition, another parish house, was added in 1890.

The unique architecture of the church tower is attributed to a mix of both eighteenth century design and a later, more modern Federal and Greek Revival structuring.
