Description

President Eisenhower prepares to board a Rangeley boat with the Parmachenee Club's caretaker, Arthur Merrill. The President is standing on the dock with his Personal Valet, Sherman Adams, and Secret Service Agent James C. Hagerty.

President Eisenhower vacationed in the Rangeley Lakes region while also stopping in Farmington, Skowhegan, Pittsfield, and finally departing from Bangor. His time in Maine allowed him to enjoy numerous outdoor activities including fishing and golf.
