Description

In 1949, Miriam MacMillan published a young readers' book entitled Etuk, Young Eskimo Hunter, based on her experiences and people she met in the Arctic. Two young Inuit boys examine her book during a visit aboard the schooner Bowdoin in Labrador.

Both Miriam and Donald MacMillan wrote about the North for a variety of audiences. Their publications ranged from children's books to popular articles in National Geographic and Readers' Digest, as well as full-length books for adults.
