The Androscoggin No. 2, a hand-pumper engine owned by the Topsham Fire Department, is decorated with flowers for a fire muster event in Augusta in September of 1911. Hand pumpers were often decorated and paraded before musters; ribbons and awards were given to the best decorated engines.
