Baldwin, Town Warrant March 4, 1805

Description

The selectmen for the town of Baldwin drafted this warrant to call for a town meeting at Rich Fitch's house on March 4, 1805. The warrant was signed by Baldwin selectmen: Jos Larrabee, William Fitch, and Ephraim Bacheldor. Subjects on the warrant include voting to fund, the support of schools including a school for women, and other town charges, building and repairing roads, to form a committee to care for public lands. On the back of the document, an intention of marriage between Daniel Sanborn and Mary Hardy is noted.
