Description
American ski racer Tyler Palmer was a member of the U S Alpine "A" Team. He was also the first American male ski racer to win a World Cup ski race. Palmer also won a Slalom at St Moritz, Switzerland in 1971 and later won a combined World Cup Race in Wengen, Switzerland. The Combined is a single title for the combinations of results in Slalom and Downhill. During his racing career with the US Ski Team, Palmer had 9 top ten finishes. Palmer and his brother Terry represented the U S in the 1972 Olympics in Sapporo Japan and In 1972 he joined the World Pro Ski Racing Tour where he had 5 wins and was the top American skier from 1976-78. Since those days Palmer has had a very successful career as a ski racing coach.
