Description
The Maine State Legislature passed this resolution to authorize troops to be sent north to deal with "trespassers" into Maine. This military action is called the Aroostook War, although there was no bloodshed. The Northeast boundary dispute was resolved by the Webster-Ashburton Treaty of 1842.
