Description

Madawaska Training School, which became the University of Maine at Fort Kent, not only educated in the classroom, but also taught self-sustainability through action. The campus actively canned fruits and vegetables grown in campus gardens and raised livestock. Here, canned produce are listed along with the amounts canned each year, 1944-1946; 1947 is listed, but no produce are entered under this year.
