Description

George. W. French, a native of Kezar Falls, photographed a farmer with his haystacks.

French sought to capture pictures that represented the daily work of man.

In 1936 he started work for the Maine Development Commission and was assigned to photograph economic and recreational growth. French worked for the Development Commission for 19 years.
