Horace W. Shaylor Sr. produced this image of his son, Horace W. Shaylor Jr.

Shaylor Jr. (1870-1952) founded his own engraving company on Middle Street, Portland. He and his wife Rose lived in Falmouth Foreside with their daughter, Georgina.

Horace Shaylor Sr. of Portland was an artist and creator of a system of penmanship and penmanship instruction.
