Description

Olin Fowler was the third husband of Phebe Lord Smith of the Morgan Bay Road area of Surry. Olin originally from Lubec was the son of a Methodist preacher.

He enlisted in the military at age 15 and fought in the Civil War in the 8th Maine Infantry.

Upon his return from the Civil War Olin met and married Phebe.They had three children together. Olin and Phebe lived off the land farming animals and growing their own crops.
