Description
Resolution of the Cabinet approved by the King for the creation of a Loyalist haven called New Ireland, August 10, 1780. The colony was to be at Castine. The letter is a transcribed copy from the original, which is at the Public Records Office and Royal Institution of Great Britain. Joseph Williamson of Belfast, Maine, had documents relating to the Penobscot Expedition transcribed between 1894 and 1902.
