This photograph of an unidentified girl was taken at St. Joseph's Orphanage in Lewiston, October 31, 1964.
The girl, who is recorded as being 4 1/2 years old, is dressed in the habit of the Sisters of Charity, or "Grey Nuns" who ran the orphanage and the nearby St. Mary's Hospital, now St. Mary's Regional Health Center.
The orphanage building now forms part of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Pavillion, a residential care facility.
