General Store, Auburn, ca. 1920

An unidentified grocery store in Auburn, perhaps at 26 Main Street.

The man in the center is George Berubé. Many Franco-Americans operated businesses in Lewiston and Auburn.

Initially they catered primarily to their fellow immigrants, but Francos soon made up a large part of Lewiston-Auburn's commercial heart.
