This picture was taken a few yards to the left of the Boys' Shop at Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village.

Behind the boys are the Cow Barn and the Greenhouse, built in 1896 by Elder Delmer Wilson and Brother Chellis Wing (b. 1876).

The 15 by 50 foot building was kept warm by a homemade heater fueled by cordwood. Hot water circulated through 500 feet of 2" iron pipe. Approximately 2,000 boxes of cabbage and tomato plants were raised for sale each year.
