Charles Bridges mule team request, Port Hudson, LA, 1863

George F. Tincker, by command of Cyrus Hamlin, directed Charles Bridges, a Castine native who was quartermaster of the 8th Infantry Corps d'Afrique, to "furnish one four mule team" to report the following day at 8 a.m.
The 8th Infantry was stationed at Port Hudson, Louisiana.
