The caption on this image reads, "The last building used as a Brewery in Maine."
It also was also known as the Casco Brewery and was located on Fore Street on Munjoy Hill in Portland.
Patrick and James McGlinchey started the business in 1858. They could not sell beer in Maine because it was a dry state.
