Male Nut Doll, ca. 1840

Description

This doll made of nut is fashioned using cream colored pants, a brown velvet waistcoat, blue silk-lined coat with a plaid handkerchief in his pocket. Brown hair, braided, with limbs made from wire, a cloth body, and his head, hands and feet are carved from nut. His eyes are set into his head with black glass.
