Description
The caption reads, "Equator Stone, Eastport, Maine." This stone marks the 45th parallel, a point equidistant from the equator and the North Pole. This marker is at the state rest area on Route 1 in Perry.
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1938.
