Gilman School students in library, Waterville,1983

Contributed by Kennebec Valley Community College Archive

Description

Two students taking advantage of study space in the library of the Kennebec Valley Vocational Technical Institute in Waterville. Having adequate space at the Gilman Street campus was of great benefit to the development of the Kennebec Valley Vocational Technical Institute's library. At it's old location in the Waterville High School the library was actually just a few shelves in a closet. It is interesting to note that even though the KVVTI library was contained within a fairly large room on the second floor, the current Kennebec Valley Community College library encompasses over two thirds of the Lunder building on its campus in Fairfield.
