Description

This picture postcard of Main Street and Bridge illustrates in color a dirt road lined with large trees bordered on one side by a white wooden fence. Looking east towards Ellsworth you can see on the left hand side a stately white house which was occupied by a Captain McKay. This house burned to the ground sometime around 1920.

This postcard includes a canceled 1 cent stamp and was postmarked in Steuben.
