Description
The dedication of the new bridge was scheduled for 2:30 pm on August 13, 1962. In this photograph people are walking toward the highest, central portion of the bridge, the international line between the United States and Canada, for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The automobiles appear to be transportation for VIPs. The hat worn by the driver of the nearest vehicle suggests that of a sheriff’s officer.
