Description

This deposition by Pere Pole, part of the Abenaki communities of what is now Maine, provided information about the names along the Androscoggin River used by Wabanaki peoples.

Josiah Little requested this deposition be taken as part of a legal case against the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
