Description
The Jewish Community Center Scholarship Committee and Day Camp thanked the Sisterhood of Shaarey Tphiloh synagogue for giving a scholarship for a young person to attend the Center Day Camp.
The letter is addressed to Mrs. Abraham Goldberg and signed by Edward Sacknoff and David Astor.
The Sisterhood was responsible for social activities and raising money to support the synagogue, including Torah study by men in the synagogue. Most religious ritual roles were done by men according to Jewish law.
