Molly Finney McLellan rings, Portland, ca. 1750

Contributed by Maine Historical Society

Description

Molly Finney McLellan wore these two thin rose gold rings. The gold has copper in it, which accounts for the color of the bands.

One has a double heart motif on the front and scoring on the band that makes it appear to be twisted.

The rings may have been wedding bands.
