"Chester L. Pike" wheelhouse at Colson Boat Shop, Lubec, ca. 1950

Description

This picture shows the wheelhouse of sardine carrier Chester L. Pike while the vessel was still under construction at the Colson Boat Shop. The toolbox at the lower center belonged to boatshop founder Ralph Colson and subseqently his son, Herb Colson Sr., who built the Pike. It remains in the family as of 2011.
