Description

Pierce family cousins at "Uncle John's" house in Gorham at Christmas, 1871.

The children are, from left, Charlotte Pierce (later Mansfield) (1864-), the daughter of Lewis Pierce of Portland and his first wife, Emily Willis Pierce; Josiah Pierce VI (1861-1902), son of Josiah Pierce (1827-1913) and his first wife, Martha Lander; Emily W. Pierce (1861-) daughter of Lewis and Emily Willis Pierce; and three children of Evelina Lewis Pierce (1830-) and Judge John A. Waterman of Gorham, Eva Waterman (1857-), Daisy-Margaret Waterman (1861-), and Jack Waterman (1863).

All of the children are grandchildren of Evelina Lewis Pierce (1795-1870) and Josiah Pierce IV (1792-1866) of Gorham.
