Description

Selected to remove the remains of Hopley Yeation from Lubec for the journey to the Academy, the Coast Guard’s tall ship Eagle is 295 feet long with a beam of 39 feet and a displacement of 1800 tons. She dropped anchor in Johnson Bay off North Lubec on August 19, 1975 four days before this photograph was taken and transported Hopley Yeaton's remains to the Coast Guard's Academy in New London, Connecticut for reburial.
