York County Courthouse, Alfred, ca. 1900

Description

The original county courthouse was built in 1807, it was remodeled in 1852 and with fire proof wings added to each side in 1854. On a cold morning in February 1933 the center structure of the building was completely destroyed. In 1963 a large addition was built to provide more space.
