Benjamin H. Mace House, Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, ca. 1892

Description

Built in 1867-68 and designed by Jonathan C. Lane, the Benjamin H. Mace House on State Street, served as the first part of the campus of the Eastern Maine General Hospital (now Eastern Maine Medical Center) in 1892. Built partially of stone from the ledge over the Penobscot on which it stands, the house has a wooden cupola.
