Description

This is a letter to Captain Nathaniel Goodwin, addressed to him at Boston, regarding a loan to be made to William Cleaves of Saco, 1818. Captain Goodwin was a member of the prominent Goodwin family of Biddeford. Nathaniel was a sea captain, merchant, Deputy Tax Collector, and Justice of the Peace.
