Description
E. H. Gove Insurance Agency, Biddeford. In the 1900 directory the entry is: Gove, Edward H., lawyer and general insurance agent, 119 Main St. It is presumed the fore figure is Mr. Gove, and in the background a young female clerk and a young man, possibly a messenger waiting for instructions. Also hanging on the back wall and over the desk is a sign that says Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, Philadelphia, PA.
