Description

"Lobster traps and drying racks are piled above Fish Beach, while Alonzo Pierce and Claudin Winchenbach's fish houses appear at the left.

"To the north stands the village with such visible landmarks as George Trefethren's center-chimney cape and the original Monhegan House, the hip-roofed hotel in the background."
