Description

This early photograph shows a young woman, Lizzie Cummings (Steele), sitting on a rock by Smith's brook near Paris Hill. Smith's brook is known to local residents as a fishing spot and as the the place where converts to the faith were brought for baptism.

In the lower right corner of the picture are the words "Smith's Brook Paris, Me".
