Description
Maine Secretary of State Roscoe G. Greene, wrote to George W. Pierce of Portland, giving him advice about how to get various political support in his efforts to be named Court Reporter.
Pierce and other Democratic Party supporters were concerned that he might not be appointed because of sentiment that too many appointments were going to people in Portland and Western Maine.
