Description

George W. Pierce, visiting his mother's home in Baldwin, wrote to his brother, Josiah, then president of the Maine Senate, discussing various political appointment issues, business issues, and family concerns.

George Pierce, a Portland lawyer, was married to Anne Longfellow.
