Description
Josiah Pierce (1792-1866) and his wife, Evelina Lewis Pierce (1795-1870) of Gorham pose for a portrait. On the bottom of the picture is written, "With the compliments of Josiah Pierce junr. Oct. 1882." The inscription, by the couple's son, was written many years after his parents had died.
