Description
Photo of Electrolytic Marine Salts Co. plant on Mill Creek, was used for the testing and depositing of gold. The land was leased from Hiram Comstock who operated a grist mill on the site in the 1840s. Comstock later operated a sardine factory known as the "Starvation" at the site. The image also shows the house rented by P.F. Jernegan while he was in Lubec. The house burned in 1957.
