Description

The Civilian Conservation Corps Jefferson Camp in a photo taken on Dec. 23, 1933.

The camp, located in Jefferson, operated from June 1933 to September 1935.

The Maine Forest Service operated the camp and the CCC workers, primarily veterans, were assigned insect and disease control tasks.

A Junior Enrollee camp operated at the same location from September 1935 to September 1940.
