Description

A Mr. Smith of Colebrook, New Hampshire, wrote a postcard to the Rickers at Poland Spring resort on Aug. 20, 1882 seeking accommodations for the following week.

The card reads, "Dear Sirs -- Yours of 18th recd -- If you can furnish accommodations for myself wife & 3 children by Friday/25th let me know at once & I will go over -- should you telegraph, telegraph to N Stratford."
