Description

The kitchen, dining room and dish sterilization room at the Maine State Sanatorium in Hebron, a privately run facility for treating people with tuberculosis.

Text accompanying this image in a promotion states, "Diet in tuberculosis is perhaps the most important factor, and the forced feeding with milk and eggs, and a good mixed diet is practically more essential than the climatic open air life . . ."
