Wabanaki Tribal members, including John Susep (Penobscot) on the left, stood at the "Indian encampment" at Deering Oaks Park in Portland as part of the celebration of Maine's centennial of statehood.

This image was a part of a series of photos taken for the July 3, 1920 edition of the Portland Evening Express.
