This photograph shows the dorm buildings that were built on what is now the University of Maine at Presque Isle. These buildings were built in 1944 to house base personel from the Presque Isle Air Force Base. These buildings were later used as a training school for Normal School (now UMPI) student teachers. In the early 1960's building B on the left was used as a dorm for nursing students. Both buildings are torn down. Folsom Hall at the University of Maine at Presque Isle is on the same location as Building B.
Shown in the background are Normal Hall on the left and Preble Hall at center, and South Hall on the right. Normal Hall. Preble Hall, and South Hall are still being used by the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
