Description
George Turfrey wrote to "Your Excellence" [perhaps the governor of Massachusetts] suggesting that it was time to send "Church men" to Casco (now Portland), based on a report that Indians in the area were upset that no ministers had been sent by the British. The letter is from "Saco Fort Mary." Turfrey was Warden of King's Chapel.
