Jean-Baptiste Couture, left, was the director, lead actor (playing Ralph Rackstraw) and translator of Gilbert and Sullivan's comic opera, H.M.S. Pinafore.
The French version was entitled L'Amour A Bord.
With Couture is actress Marie Michaud.
