Allen Winslow, assistant to the treasurer of the Barker cotton mill in Auburn, wrote to his brother, Burton Winslow, clerk of the Pepperell Manufacturing Co. in Biddeford, mentioning his new responsibilities at work and discussing an unnamed minister's "schemes."
