Panorama, Falmouth, ca. 1786
Charles Banks created this panorama, "Falmouth, Now Portland, In Casco Bay, in North America," based on a 1786 drawing by John Seymour.
In the 1760s, Falmouth Neck was an active port settlement with nearly 200 inhabitants, two churches, a subscription library, and several taverns.
