Alexandre Louis Mothon was the first Dominican curate of Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston. He served from 1881-1884, 1887-1897 and 1902-1906.
During that time, the parishioners outgrew the church and the original building was demolished in 1905 to make way for a larger structure.
The photograph is from "Cent ans de vie paroissiale SS. Pierre et Paul de Lewiston" (1970, p. 23)
