Frank Cole of the Rising Virtue Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons in Bangor wrote to Melvin Preble, formerly of Bangor, to acknowledge receipt of dues and let him know about Lodge activities.

He discusses members in the service in World War I and food shortages in Bangor.
